About Us

Slingsby Hall was built in the 1830's and is a fine example of a Georgian Manor House. It stands in nearly five acres of stunning private gardens in the pretty conservation village of Slingsby.

Nicola's family have lived at Slingsby Hall since the 1950's and it remains a much loved family home. After studying and working in Edinburgh Nicola returned to Slingsby in 2004 and now lives here with her husband Fraser and their daughter Amelia. The house, which has recently been renovated by Nicola and Fraser has retained its fine character and is furnished with family antiques and furniture.

During your stay at Slingsby Hall you will be made to feel welcome, comfortable and relaxed. Breakfast is taken in the family dining room around the large mahogany dining table, over-looking the garden. Quality is of utmost importance to Nicola, who is a keen cook. Where-ever possible all ingredients are either locally sourced, or home grown. Breakfast is served generally between 8am and 9am and is included in the price.
